Iverson Park Winter Sports Area and Goerke Park outdoor rink are officially open for the season as of Friday, December 13 at 6 pm.
Iverson Park Winter Sports Area in Stevens Point, WI will officially open for the season on Friday, December 13 at 6 pm. The area will be open Friday, Saturdays and Sundays for the winter season. The Winter Sports Area includes two toboggan slides with rentable toboggans, a lit ice rink, a snowboard hill and three sled and saucer hills. This area is winter fun for the entire family! Regular hours are Fridays from 6 pm to 9 pm; Saturdays from 12 pm to 8 pm and Sundays from 12 pm to 5 pm. Extended hours begin December 21 and run through January 1st in conjunction with the holiday season.
Goerke Park outdoor skating rink and hockey rink will also open Friday, December 13 at 6 pm. The ice skating facilities are open to the public during park hours and the warming house is open Monday – Friday, 6 pm to 9 pm; Saturdays from 12 pm – 8 pm and Sundays from 12 pm – 5 pm. Bring along your ice skates and use both rinks in Goerke Park for free for the entire winter season!

Plus, the City Parks Department new downtown skating rink just opened for the winter season. Stevens Point creates five skating rinks around the City including ones at Goerke, Iverson and Emerson parks.
