Silver Coach Restaurant in Stevens Point Housed in a 1900s Railroad Car

Silver Coach is located in Stevens Point in an old railroad car from the early 1900s. It has been at its current location in Stevens Point since the 1940s. However, the pre-1900 era train car that houses it has been around much longer.

Though the train car has been transformed into a restaurant, it still features many signs of its former life. Throughout its years as a restaurant, both the interior and exterior of the railroad car have been restored. Stained glass, intricate wood paneling, and signage are just a few remnants of the eatery’s past. Sometime around the 1950s, a dining room was added onto the train car, allowing for more seating and also offers private dining rooms for two.

The Silver Coach offers much more than just an atmosphere and dining experience unlike any other in central Wisconsin. It also serves up mouthwatering food that’s "delicious and nutritious." Everything is made from scratch using only the finest ingredients, resulting in the flavorful dishes Silver Coach has become known for. Sure to tantalize your tastebuds, the fare is a "little bit of Cajun Creole" and includes a variety of seafood and steaks.

Silver Coach is open for dinner six days a week. Monday – Saturday from 4 pm - 10 pm at 38 Park Ridge Drive, Stevens Point, WI, 54481. For more information, call (715) 341-6588. You can also visit the Silver Coach Facebook page.
